"The word 'DUO' in the unit name means not only a violin and piano duet, but also a wish that we, the performers, and the audience will become one. Please come and listen to our performance and testimony."

Learn about the musicians playing at E-Time on June 8 at 7 PM!

Violine: Makoto Takase

After graduating from the Music High School of Osaka College of Music, Takase studied at the City Conservatory of Vienna, Austria for five years. Former guest concertmaster of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. Performed at Carnegie Hall as concertmaster of the Japan-U.S. Friendship Orchestra. He has performed with the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, Century Symphony Orchestra, Johann Strauss Orchestra, Istanbul Symphony Orchestra, etc. He graduated from JTJ Seminary.

Piano & Vocal: Mizue Takase

Mizue Takase graduated from Sapporo Otani Junior College, Department of Music, Piano Course. While a student, she won the third prize in the special division of the North Japan Piano Competition. Studied abroad in Vienna, Austria. Performed in an evening of orchestra and four pianos with members of the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, which was well received. Performed on Austrian National Radio. Received high acclaim in a lesson given by a full professor of the Juilliard School. Performed with a Russian violinist. Currently, in addition to teaching younger students, she is active as a chorus instructor, tone chime instructor, music therapist at a hospice, and as accompaniment pianist.
